The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, somehow putting everyone at ease around them. The rooms have been immaculate, with explanations of how the staff is ensuring cleanliness and social distancing. The historic and beautiful Benson Hotel, in my mind, has always been an absolute gem in downtown Portland, and now it has been elevated even higher. While many businesses are only serving take-away, there are still plenty of wonderful food options nearby, all can be recommended to guests by staff. I want to say thank you to the staff and management who have somehow created a peaceful and safe space for travelers during this time of pandemic and social revolution. It's truly a testament to each individual who works there."
