The Waterfront Blues Fest at Tom McCall Waterfront Park is the most significant rhythm & blues, soul, and funk event west of the Mississippi. It also hosts the most amazing fireworks display over the Willamette River. The four-day festival is filled with music acts on four stages, vendors, cruises, and great food. Previous lineups of the festival included Buddy Guy, Koko Taylor, Luther Allison, Solomon Burke, Robert Plant & the Sensational Space Shifters, George Thorogood & the Destroyers, The Mavericks, Steve Miller Band, John Hiatt, James Cotton, Irma Thomas, Robert Cray, Robben Ford, Magic Slim, and many others.

"My wife and I have lived in Portland for over 50 years and we have always enjoyed staying at the Benson for special occasions. It is one of the most beautiful hotels in the world, and it is right here in our backyard. Because of the pandemic, we have been unable to travel. But we can still enjoy some of the benefits of travel, like staying at an exquisite hotel. The Benson is exactly what we needed for an adventure here at home. We have stayed here for 2 weekends since March, and will continue our "stay-cations" at the Benson. The food and service are fantastic. And with no crowds, it is almost like being in your own home.
